After a day of driving, photographing, and painting, we headed home through some

temperamental early spring weather. We were thankful the snow squall that moved through

the area waited until we were back in the warm car. The clouds over the mountains looked

dramatic and moody, a perfect photo opportunity and studio painting subject, we decided.

Our first painting trip was productive and interesting, and left us looking forward to the next,

hopefully warmer, trip planned for May.
