Hana and Betsy undertook this trip to gather reference photographs, research locations along

the Trail, and do some plein air painting in preparation for their upcoming show.

This is a maintained section of the Old Valdez Trail about 15 miles south of Fairbanks

in the Eielson Farmroad area by Sawmill Trail. It is used by local residents to access

their homes and farms near Piledriver Slough.
