Beaded Scissor Fobs (Scissor Jewels)

Scissor fobs are looped around the handles of most scissors and serve to identify and locate the scissors easily. They are often used by quilters to keep scissors from being lost or misused. There is no doubt that beauty probably trumps function in this case, with many people just wanting to embellish their favorite scissors.

All fobs feature a beautiful variety of glass, crystal, stone, wood, enamel, metal, or semi-previous beads purchased from many different sources around the world. Many use Czech glass, lampwork, and other exotic beads. Most have a pewter charm or concept bead at the bottom. They are strung on durable silver, gold, or black cording that will last for many years. Each fob comes on an attractive card featuring one of my small watercolor prints.

2009 Update -- Sorry, I am no longer doing beading due to my schedule. Please look at my gallery of watercolor originals, prints, and notecards, which are my primary focus now.
